Cole Before And After

This is Cole at 5a.m this morning getting ready to be taken back to surgery. Yes, even the little ones get their own backless gown.

We just came home for a little bit to get some items for Cole and head back. Everything looks good to the doctors right now from the monitor readings. We both don't have a lot in us right now and kind of scattered in our thoughts and speech. Cole should be able to come off the breathing machine soon, there is a little too much fluid in his lungs still for their comfort to take him off. They explained what each wire and tube monitored or assisted in taking fluids away or to his body. Thank you for your prayers and thoughts with us today.

Heal, baby, heal! Please give that sweet baby boy a big kiss for us. He's such a trooper. We're here if there is anything you need.

Stay strong - Matt and Laura and all you're families. Little Cole is in good hands - in the doctors and nurses, but especially in the Lord's hands. It's so hard to look at Little Cole with all those tubes - - but we have an amazing Father who loves and heals. Our whole family is praying along with so many others for his quick healing. Get some rest knowing Little Cole is surrounded by love and the Holy Spirit.
Love and prayers always,
Susan and Frank

Laura & Matt, we've been keeping up with your blog and through Elizabeth from the very beginning. Know that you're constantly in our thoughts and prayers. I cried as I read your preop entries and saw the before and after pics of Cole. As you've said, he is an incredible little trooper - what a tough little guy and sooo cute to boot! And you guys - wow, I can't even imagine. What strong parents you both are. My mom once told me that "God must think I'm a very strong girl" or He would not have given such a burden to carry. For some reason knowing that helped. So I say to you guys and to little Cole and Ava, God knows you all are strong enough to go through all this and will be stronger and wiser having done so. Everything will be fine and He will hold your hands every step of the way. Kisses to that beautiful big boy. Never met him, but we feel like we know him. God Bless, can't wait till he comes home. Mary Ludemann (Grey's mom & Elizabeth's friend from the little blue house!)
